It really does help me having a master’s degree in clinical psychology. It gives me knowledge of the dynamics in a case. And in family law there are family dynamics at play that I think involve a lot of psychology.

That’s number one, number two is I have knowledge about mental health issues, treatment protocols and the reality is in many divorcing couples, one or the other is experiencing either chemical dependency or a mental health issue. So, I can advise, I can refer out, I have a lot of professional contacts in the therapeutic community that will benefit my clients.
