5 Guidelines for a Friendly Divorce

Since I’ve launched my Friendly Divorce services in St. Paul MN, I’ve had many couples interested in the benefits of Friendly Divorce and how they can make it work for them. Friendly Divorce is a great option for couples who generally agree on how their divorce should go; they can cooperate when dividing marital assets, determining custody and child support, and discussing spousal maintenance. The benefits of cooperation are often plentiful; a lower cost, a quicker divorce, and lower stress levels are all common benefits of Friendly Divorce.

If you believe this type of divorce could be successful for you and your spouse, don’t leave it up to chance. There are certain steps you can take to be proactive and maximize your chances of success. Several of these tips relate to the cooperative nature of Friendly Divorce. For example, couples who can refrain from negative thoughts and comments during the process are generally more satisfied with the outcome.

If you’d like some more tips for keeping your Friendly Divorce friendly and productive, I recently wrote an article that can help. It offers five guidelines for those utilizing Friendly Divorce to follow prior to and during their divorce. These suggestions are easy to follow, and they will help you get in the right mindset for your divorce. You can read the article in its entirety here.
